New project coming in May...

OK, I am taking a challenge that was presented on a professional forum I belong to. The challenge is called "One Month of Self-Portraits". The gist of it is that I have to take a photo of myself every day for one month. The point is to try and get creative and step outside my comfort zone. It can be a photo of anything, but I have to be in it somehow. Since it's the end of April I've chosen May to do my challenge. I hope you enjoy it. Please let me know what you think.

Folasade 3mos old

I'm having such a great time watching this little one grow. I took her mommy's maternity photos, and I took her newborn photos at 2wks old. I'm so amazed at how fast babies change. I can't wait to see her when she is 6mos old.

Touching Autism Video

As some of you may know, my 4yr old son has autism. We all have "causes" that are special to us, and because autism is in my home, I try to do whatever I can to help. Autism Speaks created a music video of the Five for Fighting song, "World", which features images of autistic children and theirfamilies. It is a truly moving video and was the work of Bill Shea. The band is generously donating $0.49 to Autism Speaks for each time the video is viewed - the funding goes toward research studies to help find a cure. When you have a moment, please visit the link below to watch the video and pass it along to your friends and family. They are aiming for 10,000 hits, but hopefully we can help them to surpass this goal.

I couldn't be more happy to show you the next photo. This little angel was born on March 31st to the sweetest couple in the world. I had the honor of taking photos at their wedding in 2005 (my first wedding) and was thrilled to pieces when they called me to take their daughter's photos. They really are putting my motto to the Sharon and Ernie have a photographer for life!!

Wow, it's been a while since I last blogged. I've been so busy with work and life. I know I know it's no excuse to not keep blogging, and I promise to be better with keeping up. This little angel is Rosalinda. She was the second newborn I ever photographed. I was so happy when her mommy called me to do her spring pictures. As always tell me what you think.
