Well you guys know I don't ask a client to do anything I'm not willing to do myself, so here it is. My very own mini beauty shoot. I wasn't feeling very pretty and was coming down with a cold that would keep me in bed the next day but I did it anyway. Emily and her magical skills had me looking pretty even though I didn't feel it at first, but by the end of my mini-session I felt beautiful. Emily G. Makeup Artist Extraordinaire

I can talk for hours about how amazing this woman is. She is one of the reasons my women's beauty sessions are so popular and catching on like wildfire. Emily is going to appear in a magazine article and asked if I could give her some new edgy portraits. How could I resist? So with a collaborative effort we came up with the lighting, poses, and makeup. The McGhee Family

About three or four years ago I got a call from a very nice lady who wanted to know about my portraits. She told me horror stories about her experiences with chain photography studios. She liked the fact that I promised never to rush a session, I guaranteed to get great images and even offered to reschedule when her daughter (2yrs old at the time) just didn't want anything to do with portraits. My mission was to give her awesome service and quality products to erase the experience of those chain stores.

Fast forward to early October. I get a call from the same wonderful lady who said that she and her husband are celebrating their anniversary and wanted a large wall portrait with their daughter to display at the party. She said she wouldn't trust anyone else with this very special photo but me and my heart just swelled.

Mission accomplished!!

July rewind...

I hope you all are enjoying your summer so far. I've had a busy summer. There were a few vintage sessions, a newborn or two, a group photo, a couple of birthday boys, a pretty lady, and a wedding....whew!!

I'm looking forward to a break in August to celebrate my 11th wedding anniversary, AJ's (my oldest son) 10th birthday, and Justin's (my youngest son) 3rd birthday. I look back and I can't believe that this much time has passed. There are many things still to come but I just wanted to give you a quick summer rewind from a few sessions I didn't get a chance to blog. Thank you for looking and I can't wait for you to see what I have planned next!!

Dakarai

This afternoon I had a great time hanging out with handsome and talented Dakarai. He called me a few weeks ago to scheduled his session. He told me that he wanted to update his acting/modeling portfolio and get some new head shots in the process. I was all set this morning to be stuck inside due to all this rain we've been having. Imagine my surprise when DK rang my bell and it was sunny outside. We immediately decided to take advantage of the suddenly beautiful weather and boy did we luck out. We took a nice stroll around the Sewaren and Perth Amboy waterfronts and got some really great shots. I can't wait to work with DK again in a few weeks. Here is one shot from today.

"Only Human"

This evening I had the pleasure of shooting a very talented singer/songwriter. When I first met Akintayo when he accompanied his beautiful wife Beatrice for her maternity session. I was extremely happy to hear from him this past weekend to schedule a shoot. When he told me what the photos were for I was so excited. Aparently, he was one of the 3 runners up to the John Lennon Songwritting contest in the R&B category!!

Holiday Sibling Photo

Hey Guys,


As you can guess I'm jumping with holiday orders, and I'm not complaining one bit...lol. We are in the home stretch now. I can't believe that Christmas is only 2 weeks away!! There is so much I still haven't done.

Busy Weekend!!

Well on Saturday I had the pleasure of taking photos for one of my favorite families. They are a fun and sweet bunch. For now they just did school pictures, but I'll get all 8 of them next month for Christmas shots. Here are a few to look at.





Today my mom came over to help me refinish my office and studio. I'm so excited about the changes we've made. I'll post pictures later this week when I'm finished cleaning and hanging up some pictures on my walls.
