Taria Reed Wedding Photographer: Christina & Brett say I do

Those of you who know me know I don't shoot many weddings, but those I do shoot I put my ALL into it. Christina and Brett had a beautiful beach wedding down at Belmar this weekend. The dresses were a BEAUTIFUL shade of hot pink, the guys wore nice summer light suits with hot pink flowers, the children were gorgeous, the parents were proud, and the weather was lovely.

The McGhee Family

About three or four years ago I got a call from a very nice lady who wanted to know about my portraits. She told me horror stories about her experiences with chain photography studios. She liked the fact that I promised never to rush a session, I guaranteed to get great images and even offered to reschedule when her daughter (2yrs old at the time) just didn't want anything to do with portraits. My mission was to give her awesome service and quality products to erase the experience of those chain stores.

Fast forward to early October. I get a call from the same wonderful lady who said that she and her husband are celebrating their anniversary and wanted a large wall portrait with their daughter to display at the party. She said she wouldn't trust anyone else with this very special photo but me and my heart just swelled.

Mission accomplished!!

Family Portraits

Every mother wants a nice portrait of her family. My mother is no different. She's been asking for family portraits for longer than I care to admit, but the family was always too busy to do it. Well this mother's day we decided to give my mother exactly what she's been wanting. We had a great time just joking and laughing with eachother.

I've already had two families this year express regrets because they didn't take family pictures and now they suffered losses and missed out on those memories. Call or email me today to schedule your family portraits, I promise you won't regret it.

Here are a few photos of my family.

Extended Families

This is the week for photographing dear friends. This afternoon I met with my very good friend Nadine and her family. Her parents and nephew are visiting from out of state so when grandma says "I WANT PICTURES" what can I do but show up with my handy dandy camera. We met at a local park and literally just ran around. The blooms are coming but in about two weeks that park is going to be beautiful!!

Mom, Dad, and two little princes

I had a great afternoon with today's family session. They were fun, natural, and loved to laugh (all except for the boys...lol). I loved how down to earth everyone was. Of course we lost the boys pretty quick due to hunger and naps, but I got some gems that mom and dad (and grandma) will love for years to come.

Maria, Sophia, and Matteo

This afternoon I met with Maria, Sophia, and Matteo (Oh, and their parents too). I was excited to shoot with them but expected total chaos. I mean Sophia and Maria were only 9mos old and Matteo is 21months. That's THREE children under TWO!! But to my surprise, the session was AWESOME!! Everyone one was under control, no meltdowns, and very little tears. We got three children and two parents photographed in just over two hours. Here are a few from today.

Frank, Angela, Lillian, and Charlie (oh my!)

I look forward to seeing this family every year. Angela and I met by chance when I did some work for her and it's been a great relationship since then. It's been my honor to watch their family grow from two to three to four. They are truly one of my favorites to visit. Here are a few images from today's session.

Little Miss Aavya

I spent this afternoon with Aavya and her parents. This little princess was simply too adorable. LOOK AT THOSE CURLS!! She gave me and her momma a good workout, but we still had lots of fun.

Catching up and stuff...lol.

My...my...my... I have totally forgotten how much work a newborn is...lol. My little boy is growing and thriving beyond my wildest dreams. And he is making sure his mommy is always busy :o). In the past two months I have been busy with Holiday sessions. The early bird special went fantastic. I want to thank all the families who gave me a call this November and December to schedule their sessions. I honestly had a blast with each and every family. Each session turned out beautifully!! I didn't shoot much in 2009 because of being pregnant most of the year and having Justin at the end of August. However; the families I did choose to shoot have made this year great.

There are big things planned for 2010 so jump aboard for tons of fun, specials, and amazing images. Since I haven't been on top of my blogging lately I'm going to share a few images from my last few sessions and then take a break (yes another break...lol) from shooting families (mine not included...lol) until January 4th.

and of course I had to add my two angels to this update. AJ is 7 and Justin is almost 4mos.

Email me at PersonalTouchPhotography@comcast.net if you'd like to be put on my mailing list. There will be some specials that will only be advertised by email, some by only by my facebook fan page and some by this website.
Warmest Wishes,
Taria
