NILMDTS.org take two

This afternoon I received another notice that a family needed the services of a NILMDTS photographer at Beth Israel Hospital. I honestly have not recovered from my last session and have yet to look at those photos. I spoke with a good friend and she said something to me that made me accept the session. She said, "I know it's hard on you, but you are giving those parents something to hold on to. How could you say no to that?". She was 100% correct (thanks Nadine). So this afternoon for the second time in less than a week I will be going to Beth Israel Hospital to photograph a little angel. Knowing that I'm helping these families in this painful and difficult time is the only thing that gets me through it.

NILMDTS.org

NILMDTS = Now I Lay Me Down To Sleep.

I had the honor of photographing one of these sessions on Friday. It was honestly one of the hardest things I have been asked to do since becoming a professional in 2005. As hard as it was I would do it again in a heartbeat. My photos will help that little angel's parents remember their baby and navigate the grieving process. My heart goes out to any and all families that need this service.

Baby Joseph

Two baby boys in less than a week!! How fantastic is that...lol. Baby Joseph's mommy called me after seeing the sesson proofs from Baby Gabriella's session. Even though he wasn't too into the session I was able to get a few that his mommy and daddy will love. I can't wait to see them again in May!!

Baby D.

It's been a while since I've had a baby boy to photograph other than my Justin. You can imagine how excited I was when Dana told me she was having a baby boy. This little two week old angel was super duper TINY, and I had a blast with him and his momma.

Baby Amber

I met Amber's mommy a few years ago through two of my other clients. I was thrilled when she thought of me when she had her little girl a few weeks ago. We met this morning to take photos of the little princess, but the little princess wanted nothing to do with me...lol. I'll meet them again tomorrow and hope Miss Amber warms up to me so I can capture some great memories for her mommy and daddy. Here is the only shot Miss Amber allowed me to get today, hopefully tomorrow she's in a better mood...lol.

Baby Olivia

After each session I have, I usually end up with that "OH MY GOSH!!" shot. Litte Miss Olivia was no exception. This little angel had to have two sessions because she was just not in the mood the first time I saw her, but last night she was so very good.
