A few days ago my husband posted a really sweet blog about me on his site.
I just wanted to share it with you.

Geek Alert!!

OK, my husband likes to tease me about how much of a "geek" I can be sometimes. I know it's all in good fun and I embrace my "geekness"...lol. Tonight I was beside myself because I just saw the first trailer for Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. First let me say I LOVE LOVE LOVE the Harry Potter books, so I'm so excited to see the next movie. I just hope they do the books justice, because I hated the 5the movie. If you ever want to be bored to death, just ask me why I hated it...lol.

Here is the trailer for the 6th movie....ENJOY!!

The Harry Potter trailer is here!

What to do, what to do?

Have you ever asked your self "What am I going to do with all of the pictures from my Personal Touch Portrait Session?" Well I'm here to help answer that for you. A great way to showcase your beautiful images and show them off is to have a storybook created. They come in a variety of sizes and the smaller ones fit in your bag perfectly. What better way to show off your family (and my amazing work...lol) than to whip out your book and show the world.

I just know Shannen's mom will LOVE this album. She is going to have a blast showing it and her beautiful daughter to EVERYONE...lol.

Just one more...

I'm staying up a bit later than I intended editing the photos from Yariana's Sweet 16 and I came across this image. It just "speaks" to me, so I wanted to share it with you. Enjoy!!

Yariana's Sweet 16

You know you had a great shoot when every muscle you move aches the next day...lol. Yesterday I shot Yariana's Sweet 16 party. I had a great time. This little lady was not afraid to ham it up in front of the camera...lol. She was absolutely stunning in her gown. Here are a few from her special day.

I almost forgot to mention that these dresses were designed and made by Albert at Pacheko Boutique (495 New Brunswick Ave, Fords, NJ 732-661-2002‎). See the flowing part of the dress at the bottom? Well that part actually "tears" away to create a very cute minidress. The ladies incorporated the "tear away" skirt in the courts dance. Very tasteful and very beautiful!

Wild Kingdom

I am always amazed at what I find in my jungle of a backyard. I've always said I am no gardener, in fact I really suck at it...lol. But when I do get brave and venture into my back yard I always find something interesting. Today I saw no less than 24 spiderwebs in my yard and in one of the webs I see two spiders "planning on expanding their family". I definately have to get brave and do something about those overgrown bushes.

Holy Cute Kids Batman!!

OK, so you know I think all of the children I photograph are cute, but holy cow, these two were just sticky sweet cute...lol. Morique and Cecelia were a photographers dream. They were happy, cooperative, smiley, interested, and very photogenic. I definitely look forward to having these two in front of my camera again.

Sixty & Sensational!!

Today I shot the surprise 60th birthday party for Elaine & Eleanor. Their children planned a very intimate and fun party for them. They even flew in their childhood friend (which was a HUGE surprise to them) who is a twin herself. There was so much love and appreciation in the room. These two were sweeter than the double cake they had.

Happy 4th of July!!

Tonight Woodbridge set off their annual fireworks show at Alvin Williams Park on the Sewaren waterfront. This year we stayed home but we got a fantastic view from our front yard. AJ absolutely LOVED the show. He signed for more a few times...lol. I'm hoping to catch another fireworks show sometime this weekend and snap a few photos. I hope everyone has a happy and SAFE holiday weekend!!

Now I Lay Me Down To Sleep

I don't think I mentioned this on here before but I wanted to share something with you guys. When I decided to make my passion of photography my career I also decided that I want to use my passion and my gift to give back to my community. I now volunteer my time to two causes. The first one is helping to raise money for Autism research and programs in the name of AJ's Groovers. That one was a no brainer since my little boy, AJ, was diagnose with Autism at 2yrs old. The second organization I volunteer for is called Now I Lay Me Down To Sleep.

The Today Show ran an extraordinary piece on the Now I Lay Me Down to Sleep Foundation on March 5, 2008. Professional photographers capture keepsake photos for families whose babies are stillborn or who die soon after their birth. The Foundation's website says, "All life deserves to be honored no matter how short its time on Earth and that is exactly what all of our phenomenal volunteer photographers are doing each time they help a family in need."

You don't have to be a photographer to get involved, donations are accepted to help us be able to keep giving this special gift to those families in need. One of the hardest things to see in this world has to be seeing the grief in a mother's eyes after losing her child.

Warmest Wishes,
Taria

Andi, Shane & Cameron

I had a quick session this morning with Andi and her two children. Like most 2yr olds Shane didn't want to participate much, but her little brother Cameron was such a trooper. I'm going to meet with Andi and Cameron again this monday to finish our shoot. Here are a few from today.
