Shannen (take #2)

Do you guys remember my first shoot with little Shannen? Well her mom scheduled her reshoot for this afternoon. I will admit to you (shhh don't tell anyone...lol) that after the first 10mins there I thought I would walk away with only a hand full of shots to use. Well... after I broke out the pink fluffy petticoat Miss Shannen was a SUPERSTAR!! Durring our first shoot she couldn't wait to leave and get away from me, this time she was upset that I was leaving. Now it could be that she was upset because I was leaving with all the pretty flowers and the petticoat, but please leave me to believe it was me she wanted to stay...lol.

Here are a few gems from today's session.

Michelle & Walter

This morning I had the honor of waking up (very early I'd like to add...lol) and meet with Michelle and Walter at the waterfront in Perth Amboy. It was great to just hang out and talk with them. Oh yeah, we took a few pictures too. We had a BEAUTIFUL morning. It wasn't too hot or too humid, it was just right. But really it wasn't like I was working hard, they were so easy going and layed back. Here are a few images from their engagement session. I can't wait to shoot their wedding in September.

Jill & Michael

Today I had the pleasure of shooting a wedding along side Jeff Mitchel of J. Mitchel Photography. I had a fantastic time. Michael and Jill were super sweet and I wish them all the best this world has to offer. Here are a few from today...

Wyatt, Delaney & Beckett

This trio of cuties just melted my heart. They were so fun and great to work with. I've never shot twins before so needless to say I was beyond THRILLED when Mindy emailed me to take pictures of her crew. I really hope I get to see them again. Here are a few from today's session.

Here's Wyatt reading them the dinosaur book.

Maia and Olivia

I can't believe how flippin cute these little girls are. Their mom contacted me and asked me to come photograph them in their home today. Now I consider myself a definite "kid person" but I will admit I hit a stumbling point today. These little girls spoke Polish and not my native tongue of English. So you can see where the problem is. Well come to find out that silliness transcends all languages...lol.

Here are a few of Miss Maia and Miss Olivia. I wish I could have gotten some of them together, but as usual, Miss Maia was done before I was...lol.

Just look at those cheeks!!!

LaQuan's Graduation Party

Tonight I had the honor of documenting the surprise graduation party for LaQuan. His mom and her party planner, Vanessa, pulled off a GREAT party at the Pines Manor in Edison. They made sure every detail was attended to and it showed. The atmosphere of the party was all about good food, good fun, and great company.

Here are a few photos from the party.

Laquan and his beautiful girlfriend Brieanna

I love this picture, because LaQuan was actually crying. He was so touched by this party and his mother's efforts. You can really see and feel the special bond this mother and son shared.

Groove Phi Groove Willie J. Brown Scholarship Lunch

Well after a whirlwind weekend I ended it with a scholarship lunch given by the New Jersey Graduate Chapter of Groove Phi Groove Social Fellowship, Inc. For those that are new to my blog, my husband is a motivational speaker in addition to being a police officer. He was asked to be the keynote speaker and address the crowd as well as the scholarship winners.

As you can imagine I was a very proud and doting wife. He has accomplished so much in a short period of time and this is only the beginning of the journey. His company is HRJR Enterprises, he has a published book called "Find A Way To Make A Way", he also has a blog where you can see some of his thoughts. He will have the speech posted in the video presentation section of his website within the next few days if anyone is interested in seeing/hearing his excellent speech.

Here are a few images from the lunch.

He was also signing sold copies of his book.
