Random middle of the night rants...lol.

OK, maybe 1 rant and a recomendation...lol.

RANT - My darling husband calls me from the mall tonight. He was there to purchase my Christmas gift. WELL my heart sank out of my body when he said that the unnatural love affair I've been having with iphone will have to stay in my head. It turns out that AT&T won't allow business accounts to have one of those hot little gadgets. Can we please have a moment of silence for my shattered dream.....

(sniff sniff)

Now on to my recomendation. I just watched the movie Apocalypto. It was really an excellent movie. Even though it was all in Mayan and had subtitiles it was an awesome awesome movie!! Definately two thumbs up and a snaps in the "Z" formation.

Showcase

Oh!! I almost forgot to tell you....

A few months back I mentioned that I was going to be showcasing my work in the Woodbridge Library. Well, my display is up and running. If you are in the Woodbridge, NJ area go to the lower level of the Woodbridge Library and check it out.

I have to attempt to get some holiday shopping done today so if I'm in that area of town I'll try to stop by and take some photos of the display for the non-local people reading my blog.

Holiday Sibling Photo

As you can guess I'm jumping with holiday orders, and I'm not complaining one bit...lol. We are in the home stretch now. I can't believe that Christmas is only 2 weeks away!! There is so much I still haven't done.

One of my most favorite families!!

Today I shot for Sharon, Ernie, and Ernie's sister Andrea. This family is absolutely fantastic. Sharon and Ernie was the first wedding I shot and we have been friends ever since. First, I went down to there home to shoot Miss Gracie's holiday pictures and their family photo. Next, I went over to Andrea's house (Ernie's sister) and photographed her family. THEN... Sharon, Ernie, and Gracie came over and I took one big group photo. Here are a few of the children. They were a handful, but they were so much fun to watch and interact with.

BOUDOIR!!

Remember the really great Boudoir session I told you I had on Saturday? Well today we had our ordering session tonight and she gave me permission to put a few of her photos online.

I hope this shows you that any woman with any body type is beautiful and can take a stunning photograph. She came to me with the mindset that she wouldn't like any of the photos of herself, but she admitted to me that she was surprised and loved them all.

The make-up was done by the lovely and very talented Kim Iacovone who can be reached at Kimber517@msn.com.

A Beautiful Woman

Hey guys!!

Let me just tell you about the wonderful shoot I had this Saturday. I can honestly say that shooting Boudoir is my favorite to do next to newborns. There is something about capturing a woman feeling and looking sexy. We had such a fun time and she was totally relaxed by the time we got into the second outfit.

Now I know it usually takes a few days to proof sessions, but I had them done by this evening. She looked so awesome that I couldn't pull myself away from the computer. I sent her the password for her gallery tonight and here is what she had to say. I'm sharing her words because the nature of the shoot stops me from sharing a photo. Who knows, she may give her permission for me to show one of them in a few days. But take my word for it, she looked AWESOME!!! Her husband is going to get one heck of a Christmas gift!!

"omg....they are sooo awesome, they look amazing. there are some there that look like a magazine my favorites are the guitar ones and the one where you come in tight with me wearing the jersey where my eyelashes look reeallly long and the focus is soft. that is the perfect shot. I actually love all of them. You made me look outside as beautiful that I feel inside and I cannot thank you enough for that."

Responses like this just makes it clear to me that I am doing what God intended me to do.

Monday Morning Update

Hello Everyone!!!

I just wanted to give an update on what's been going on. This has been a very stressfull week for me. It all started last wednesday when my sweet little 5yr old inadvertantly downloaded a virus to my desktop pc and then proceeded to spill juice on my laptop. So I've spent the better part of a week trying to get my desktop debugged so I can get some work done and get back online. Three lessons were learned....

lesson 1 - don't cook dinner while 5yr old is on www.noggin.com without supervision.

lesson 2 - backup and backup often

lesson 3 - liquid + computers = BAD

Learn from my mistakes people...lol. This year is exciting for me because Thanksgiving dinner will be at my house. Hopefully I'll survive to post pictures and share stories with you next week.

Will trade Photos for Food..

Ok, to the average person my title may sound very desprite. Let me explain it for you....

Durring November and December if you donate two cans of food durring your session, you will receive a free 5x7 print. You can add the cans up to receive a free 16x20 print. All of the cans will be donated to local food kitchen to help provide hot healthy meals to families in need this holiday season.

2 cans = 5x7
4 cans = 8x10
6 cans = 10x13
8 cans = 11x14
10 cans = 16x20

Imagine if you couldn't feed your babies and had to go without basic nutrition. You can help those families with this small gesture of kindness. Reach out and help a family in need.

The Harris School of Business

Friday I went with my husband to the Harris School of Business in Linwood to attend their graduation ceremony. My husband was the keynote speaker for the evening. His speech was moving and very inspirational. I hope the graduates listened to his message and will apply the lesson to their lives.

Well in my roll as supportive wife, I also wore the hat of audio/visual geek. After the graduation we went out to dinner with Sam (the regional director of Harris School of Business) and Linh (owner of Lux Skincare and Cosmetics www.luxatcornerstone.com). They are such a fun couple. Hubby and I will definately have to hang out with them again.

Little Dean

Today I got to meet Dean. This little prince was as cute as can be. He didn't fuss, He didn't cry, he just looked around and took in the surroundings. What made Little Dean harder than usual was that he didn't sleep....lol. Most newborns are out like a light for most of their session, but this angel wanted to be the star AND observe what was happening. He finally fell asleep as I was packing up to leave...go figure...lol. Here is a sneak peak at this little chick magnet's session...

Today's Lesson...

Old McDonald had a farm....

Tonight I heard DH and AJ singing Old Mcdonald. It was the absolute cutest thing I EVER heard!! He sang the chorus (e i e i o) and the quack quack part for the duck. My son is autistic and is mostly non-verbal. I have my days where I just feel like I can't deal with this, but more often than not I marvel at how my boy........just sparkles.

October has been the month of little boys...lol. Today I met with Shayna & Malik to photograph their little boy Micai. He is the sweetest little thing. Once we got him relaxed and sleep we blew through the shots and got quite a few little gems. Take a look and let me know what you think...

On a personal note....

Yesterday morning my husband was involved in a car accident. He is ok, but suffering from back pain. I'm sharing this with you for a few reasons.

1) when you see a police, fire, or emt vehicle coming your way DO NOT STOP IN THEIR DIRECT PATH!! Just move aside or step on the gas to get out of their way.

2) Not all police officers are jerks. I happen to know plenty of men and women who do their job with pride, professionalism, and heart. They take tons of abuse and do their best to help people in spite of that abuse. They truely have a thankless job.

3) Next time you stop to complain about an officer being a jerk, stop and think about your attitude toward him/her.

4) Every cop goes to work praying they come home to their families when their shift is over. Do you do that when you go to your nice desk job for the ABC company?

It takes a brave soul to become a police officer/fireperson/emt so stop complaining about how they are doing their job and just say thank you for them doing their job.

Busy Weekend!!

Well on Saturday I had the pleasure of taking photos for one of my favorite families. They are a fun and sweet bunch. For now they just did school pictures, but I'll get all 8 of them next month for Christmas shots. Here are a few to look at.





Today my mom came over to help me refinish my office and studio. I'm so excited about the changes we've made. I'll post pictures later this week when I'm finished cleaning and hanging up some pictures on my walls.

Good News

Today I was invited to put up a display at our local library. My display will be up for the entire month of December!! I'm very proud, honored, and excited about it. Once I get it up I'll take pictures to show you.

While walking Obi this week I took my camera and got some really nice photos. I will probably make quote posters out of them sooner or later.

I was just surrounded by the cutest little "men" this week...lol. Today I shot these two handsome little ones. Kids are hard to shoot, but I do love it when nail the perfect shot that captures their personalities.

Today Miss (soon to be Mrs) Ronnikiea came over to have me take her maternity photos. It's always a pleasure to have her in front of my camera. If she looks familiar, I took some model shots for her portfolio. I hope she brings that little prince she's carrying to me when he's born.

Artist Showcase

Today I spent the day outside (in the cold...lol) at my towns artist showcase on main street. I think it was a success event. I had a really good time dispite it being so cold. I wasn't there to sell prints, but just to show my work, pass out information, and coupons. I also got to see some of the other talented artists in the community.

Autism Walk Day

Hey Everyone!!

Today was the North Central Jersey Autism Walk. We had a great walking team and a great fundraising effort. In total we raised about $2600 and still counting.
